Scenes from our Conkerr cancer Slumber party/Sew in Sunday, January 3, 12 to 4 |
|
ConKerr Cancer was started in 2002 when Cindy Kerr’s son was hospitalized for a long period of time. She began making colorful pillowcases to help brighten up his hospital room. Ryan so loved the pillowcases that Cindy and her friends began making them for other sick children and the rest, as they say, is history. Prairie Shop Quilts is proud to partner with ConKerr Cancer to help further their mission—to brighten the lives of sick children in hospitals through homemade pillowcases.
Join us on Sunday, January 3rd for a ConKerr Cancer Slumber Party/Sew In. We’ll make as many pillowcases as we can in four hours. You’ll learn the fantastic Burrito method for making pillowcases with no exposed seams and we’ll have a great time. Special savings and give aways for those who attend.
PSQ is an official drop off site for ConKerr Cancer and we’ll accept pillowcases anytime. Please use fabric that would appeal to children and teens ages 4—18. For more details, go to www.conkerrcancer.org.
