Quilts of Valor

On the first Tuesday of each month, the Land of Lincoln Chapter of Quilts of Valor meets at PSQ to make quilts to be given to returning Illinois soldiers.  In May we were thrilled to have four representatives of the US Navy from the Great Lakes base join us.  After meeting and visiting with the dozen plus quilters who were gathered, the troops went home with 53 quilts that will be delivered to returning soldiers.

The Quilt of Valor chapter accepts donations of good quality fabric as well as unfinished quilt projects.  Backings for lap-size quilts are most appreciated.  Sewers, cutters and pressers are always welcome to join us on the first Tuesday of each month.  Below are a few photos of our quilt group in action, the soldiers and the quilts!
